Talas was a stray that we fed, alongside her sister Ubi and her mother Tina. Because of compounding reasons, we couldn't keep her. So we surrendered her to a shelter where hopefully she'll live her best life.

My name is Catdya! I hold a bachelor's degree in English linguistics and now work as a freelance artist!
I am an illustrator, a writer, poet, crafter, and recently an aspiring web developer.
I started learning HTML in march of 2025. I was inspired by the indie web movement and neocities. One thing led to another,
and now I have a proper place to call a home on the interwebs.
I am self-taught and pursue art primarily as a hobby. I have been drawing since middle school and made the switch to digital art in high school. In my off-time I draw and do occasional studies, though it has never been my plan to make this my main stream of income.
Grounds left to dry;
Leaves, bitter lies
Part lips, swiftly
Cut roots—decry
An acrid disposition
Seeds uncommon ground
Clean palate, clear throat;
Keep no virulence around
Although my concentration was in linguistics, that hasn't stopped me from learning a lot about literature.
As much as I love writing prose and non-fiction, poetry is the one thing that really stuck.
I started writing poetry in 2020 as a way to process my emotions.
As time went on, I studied the form more in-depth than my university curriculum did.
I started self-publishing poetry in short zines and found the craft to be the perfect level of challenging and familiar.
Thus, I've taken it upon myself to improve my craft even more with the help of poetry communities and workshops.
Most of my written works have been self-published through itchio.
I've written three poetry zines spanning across 4 years and all of the PDF files are free to download.
I run a jewelry brand called Vawelry. I'm in charge of everything from material sourcing, crafting, packaging, boothing, marketing, and finances.
The brand was born in early 2025. I found myself in a new craft and enjoyed making beaded jewelry.
I mostly make necklaces, with other accessories and trinkets making an occasional appearance.
The theme for the brand is whimsical. I chose that theme because I wanted to inject a bit of fun through my craft, as well as
keep in touch with my inner child.
For now, most information associated with the brand can be found on its instagram page
